One of the first things our guests notice at Schlossbrauhaus is the stunning beer garden. Nestled in the shadow of Neuschwanstein Castle, the view is nothing short of magical. From the restaurant you can see the castle perched on the hill, framed by the breathtaking Bavarian Alps. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a morning of biking before castle exploring.
The beer garden itself is spacious and family-friendly, with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Kids love the nearby play area, and adults can soak in the scenery with a cold beer in hand. Whether it’s a sunny summer afternoon or a crisp autumn day, the atmosphere here is always lively and welcoming.

Every time we bring our groups to Schlossbrauhaus, the food is a highlight. The menu is packed with Bavarian classics that never disappoint. Over the years, these dishes have become guest favorites:

• Brauhaus Braten: This juicy roast pork shoulder, paired with sauerkraut and potato dumplings, is a hearty meal that’s always a crowd-pleaser.
• Knusprige Haxe vom Allgäuer Schwein: A crispy pork knuckle served with beer sauce and potato dumplings. Guests rave about the rich flavors and tender meat. I mean, if you’re in Bavaria, why not go big, right?
• Schnitzel ‘Wiener Art’: Who doesn’t love a classic schnitzel? It’s golden, crispy, and comes with a traditional potato salad. This happens to be one of my personal favorites!
• Allgäuer Kässpätzle: For our vegetarian guests, this cheesy spaetzle topped with caramelized onions is always a hit. Think of it as the Bavarian version of mac and cheese!
• Kaiserschmarrn: This shredded pancake dessert is a sweet way to wrap up the meal and always gets glowing reviews. It’s a deconstructed pancake and a must-have when visiting the Bavarian Alps.

The Beer: Brewed Just for You

Schlossbrauhaus takes beer seriously, and it shows. They brew their own beer on-site, following the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law). Guests often rave about their Helles, a light and refreshing lager that pairs perfectly with the food. The brewery’s dedication to quality makes the experience even more special. We often hear guests say it’s some of the best beer they’ve had in Bavaria—and that’s saying something!
